EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (1 DAY)

Our Emergency First Aid at Work is an in-house comprehensive training programme suitable for staff in any sector, providing essential knowledge to ensure a safe working environment. The training is also available as an open course option, although the in-house version is recommended so that the training can be tailored to suit the delegates’ workplace. The course is delivered in one day (6 hours) and delegates will be assessed throughout the whole day with a certificate awarded upon successful completion.

Areas Covered:
• Course introduction.
• Legal compliance.
• Managing incidents.
• Treating different injuries.
• Common workplace injuries.
• Prioritisation.

What do I gain with this qualification?
All of our courses ensure that you meet recommendations underlined by the HSE and also provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to use what you have learned in a real emergency situation.

How is the course delivered?
Our training is available both in-house and as open courses. Our open courses are great for individual delegates, but if you have a group of people that need training, our in-house courses will be a much more cost-effective option for you… and you won’t even need to travel!

FIRST AID AT WORK (3 DAYS)

Our OFQUAL accredited First Aid at Work course is our comprehensive First Aid training course and is specifically delivered to be in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The training is delivered over the course of 3 days with delegates being continually assessed and a certificate awarded upon successful completion. We provide this course both in-house and as an open course, although we typically recommend the in-house option as it cheaper for you, and the training can be tailored to suit the specific requirements of each workplace!

• Examining a casualty.
• Conscious/unconscious casualties.
• Treating a casualty.
• Further emergency action.
• General common illnesses.
• Basic life support.
• First aid kits/equipment.
• Recording/reporting injuries.

FIRST AID AT WORK REFRESHER (2 DAYS)

Our First Aid at Work Refresher course is designed for anyone who has previously completed the 3 day First Aid at Work qualification and needs to renew their skillset and certification. This refresher lasts 2 days and secures the delegates’ qualification for a further 3 years before the course will need to be retaken. This training is delivered both in-house and as an open course, although we recommend the in-house version as the training can be tailored to suit the specific requirements of your workplace, (and it’s is often cheaper for small groups!).

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID

Our Paediatric First Aid course is primarily designed for those who are responsible for children under the age of 8. The training lasts 2 days and meets Ofsted requirements by complying with the mandatory Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This course is available both in-house and as an open course, although we recommend the in-house option so that the training can be tailored to suit any specific workplace requirements.

• Identifying/responding to Shock.
• Responding to a casualty.
• Suspected fractures and injuries.
• Bites and stings.
• Sudden serious illnesses.
• Chronic medical conditions.
• Effects of extreme temperatures.
• Paediatric resuscitation (CPR).
