We provide high quality Fire Safety Services to Organisations. Working in partnership with our clients we ensure that their staff operate safely in the workplace, reduce the likelihood of a fire occurring and reduce possible injuries to staff and visitors to their premises.

Gary is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (GIFireE) and is fully qualified in both Fire Safety and Health and Safety Management (NEBOSH qualified). He has recently become third party accredited by the Institution of Fire engineers as a Life safety Fire risk assessor, one of only 200 in the UK.
Gary worked in the Fire and Rescue Service for over 30 years, serving in both the West Midlands and Gloucestershire. He was a Senior Manager in the Fire Safety Department and has an excellent record of successful project management, operations planning and change management in high-risk environments. Gary has also worked for Gloucestershire County Council ensuring their compliance with the new Fire Safety Order. In addition he has provided Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire Consultancy Services to a large number of organisations on a broad range of high value projects. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of Fire Risk Assessment and relevant Health and Safety, Building Regulations and codes of practice underpinned by many years of relevant operational experience at all levels of management.
Our Consultants have public liability and professional indemnity insurance and have been directly involved in Fire Safety and Health and Safety, each having over 25 years experience as senior managers within The UK Fire and Rescue Services.
The skills and knowledge formed over this time include, a wide range of professional qualifications gained through the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and the Institute of Fire Engineers examinations. This is further supported through experience gained during their careers in attending operational incidents and carrying out fire investigations, auditing fire risk assessments, liasing with building control officers and carying out enforcement actions if required. All the Consultants have worked in the Fire Safety and Community Safety Departments of the Fire Service.
Peter House MIFireE
Peter House is based in Cheltenham and joined Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and was promoted through the ranks serving in a number of managerial roles in various departments including training, staff, operational delivery and fire safety.
Peter was appointed as the South West regional project coordinator for the Fire Service New Dimension programme. (Plan for Major disaster planning and management) he again was promoted to become the National Resilience Manager responsible for overseeing the final rollout of New Dimension into transition and handover to the day-to-day ownership by the Fire and Rescue Service.
More recent positions include:
- Senior Technical Fire Consultant for International Government, Defense and Support Services with Kellogg, Brown and Root.
- Trainer and Assessor (first aid, health and safety and fire safety) for the St John Ambulance
Peter is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, he has a Post graduate Diploma in Public sector management, a NEBOSH certificate in health and safety he has completed the course for Internal Quality Management System Auditor Course with The Chartered Quality Institute, he has attended the Fire Service College and passed all the courses for fire safety officers.
Peter has also attended the Safeguarding and Protecting Children Course with Sports Coach UK.
Peter. I joined Corinium Fire Safety Consultancy Ltd as an Associate in 2013 and have worked on many projects carrying out Fire safety training and Fire risk assessments, I have over 35 years fire related experience, and with my formal training and practical application I understand the needs of organisations and can direct them to ensure they meet all their current legal obligations in relation to fire safety. My understanding nature ensures that the Fire risk assessments are carried out as a Fire risk assessment and not just an application of the fire safety guides and building regulations.
James Waldron GIFireE
James has over forty years operational and managerial experience in Fire and Rescue Services both in London and Gloucestershire, rising to the position of Group Manager.
During this service James specialised in both training and Fire safety, gaining a merit distinction in the Specialist Fire Safety Long Course at the Fire Service Collage (FSC) . He gained a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2000 at the University of Gloucestershire sponsored by Gloucestershire Fire and rescue Service and the Gloucestershire County Council – the final dissertation was centred on Community Fire Safety and the impact this would have on service delivery.
On leaving operational service in 2001 James was invited to continue his fire industry career as a senior lecturer at the FSC teaching management and incident command to fire officers from UK Fire and Rescue Services and many overseas countries. This employment as a Uniformed Civil Servant continued on a full time basis until 2008 and on an associate tutor basis until February 2012.
James is a management consultant to small and medium sized companies.
He has said ‘I am proud to be associated with Corinium Fire Safety Consultants Ltd, helping organisations and individuals to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and other legislation, I remain committed to improving my personal and industry skills and welcome any opportunity to continue working in the fire safety industry’.
Nigel Limbrick is based in Gloucester and prior to joining the Fire and Rescue service was a Royal Marine.
Nigel joined the fire service and was soon promoted through the ranks to eventually become Area manger having the responsibility for all the retained fire stations in Gloucestershire.
During his time he helped develop the training department and at one time managed the Industrial and commercial Fire training unit offering Fire safety and fire warden training to industry in Gloucestershire. He headed the Cliff rescue and water rescue sections of the service ensuring staff were equipped with the right equipment but also trained to a high level of competency.
Nigel also spent time in the specialist fire safety department and attended the Fire service college gaining formal fire safety qualifications.
Having a great deal of experience in training delivery Nigel’s courses are always exciting, and on behalf of Corinium has delivered Fire extinguisher, fire warden and fire awareness courses for the NHS 2gether trust, Paragon Laundry, schools and academy’s and Renishaw PLC .
Nigel through reciprocal arrangements holds the IFE graduate qualification and whilst servicing in the fire safety department attended the Fire service college completing the fire officers fire safety course, he also holds training assessor awards.
He has said, I have worked for Corinium as a consultant since 2012 as a lead trainer, using all my knowledge and experiences gained from working as an operational firefighter and officer, I am able to deliver experience based training. I have experienced the dangers of fire and how it affects companies of all sizes.
Your staff are the most important part of your company and training them correctly not only reduces the risk of fire occurrence but ensure that should a fire occur staff and any other visitors to the building all evacuate safety.
